Top Tips

Pre-book an evening cruise beneath the Eiffel Tower so when you get back you can wait for the Tower to sparkle, as it does at the beginning of each hour from sundown to 1am

The Louvre queues can be very long, sometimes up to 2 hours! There is a separate queue if you book online so booking in advance here makes your trip a lot easier

Do not let anyone convince you to climb the 704 stairs all the way up the Eiffel Tower, TAKE THE LIFT I guarantee you will regret climbing half way through Then you'll realise how high up you are and how unstable the iron feels and you may have a bit of a mare (speaking from experience)

The queues to meet the characters in Disneyland are long, but definitely worth it for the photos and memories

The Tower of Terror in Disneyland is definitely the best ride!

If you play the Romantic Montmartre Exploration Game you will come across where Amelie worked (famous French film), visit the Sacre Couer and find out about Picasso's love stories all in one tour

From London, flights tend to be a lot cheaper than train/boat routes to Paris, France but if you are skeptical about flying it is still an easily accessible city

Good to know

McDonald's is very expensive in Paris, putting it into perspective my boyfriend and I's typical order in England costs around £11. We ordered similar food in Paris' McDonald's and it cost around 35 Euros!

The currency in Paris, France is Euros.

Street-sellers can be very hounding and many do not listen to a simple 'no thank you' so it sounds harsh but ignore, ignore.

Louvre admission is free for those under 18 years old, and 18-25 year-old residents of the European Economic Area, but make sure you bring identification.

Be prepared to queue for the Eiffel Tower, it is the main attraction!

The ice-slush drinks halfway up the Eiffel Tower are amazing!

The best way to get to and from the airport is train as it is easily accessible.

The best time to visit, in my opinion, is any season apart from summer. This is because all of the walking in the crowded city in the heat is not fun, as well as the fact Disneyland in the school holidays will be heaving.
