Top Tips
Hire your bikes at Revolution Bike Hire
If you are staying in Puerto Del Carmen make sure you visit Playa Chica rather than the long beach strip because the rocks either side protect you from the wind
The best cycle route is along Av. de las Playas, it has the best flat roads and prettiest views
Prebook the volcano and National Park Tours as often on the beach front these tours may not be offered
Make sure you visit Yaiza village next to the volcanoes, it is very photographable and so close to the volcano
Good to know
The currency in Lanzarote, the Canary Islands is Euros.
The best time to visit, in my opinion is the summer, but bear in mind the island can be very windy.
Even in the height of summer the sea isn't as warm as many exotic places, however you soon get used to it once you're in.
Beware of jellyfish
The best way to get to and from the airport, depending on where you are staying, is private transfer
Bring snorkels with you as the shops are so expensive!
