Top Tips

Pre-book boat trips to get a better price and to make sure you get the time/date you want as they are really busy in the summer months

BARTER, BARTER, BARTER at the markets

Visit the backstreets to find lower prices and insane local food

Bring cash as well as card because you may find the markets and some local restaurants/cafes only accept cash

Good to know

The best time to visit, in my opinion is May, June, July or September. The weather is perfect for a summer holiday and the beaches are not crowded from the school holidays.

The currency in the Algarve, Portugal is Euros.

The most convenient way to get to and from the airport is taxi, however if you are able to hire a car it is the perfect way to explore the Algarve.
